Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), el Banco Mundial y la CAF firmaron un Memorando de Entendimiento a fin de destinar financiamiento a programas de seguridad ciudadana en los pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Banco de Desarrollo de Am\u00e9rica Latina (CAF) y el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) firmaron un acuerdo para financiar proyectos de seguridad en los pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina, el 19 de agosto de 2024 en Guayaquil.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante la Cumbre Latinoamericana de Seguridad, que se celebra en Guayaquil, el <a href=\"https:\/\/acl.com.ec\/en\/bid-aprueba-credito-de-300-millones-para-financiar-a-mipymes\/\">Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID)<\/a> anunci\u00f3 un compromiso de USD 150 millones para financiar programas de seguridad en Ecuador.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La iniciativa forma parte de un esfuerzo conjunto con el Banco Mundial (BM) y el Banco de Desarrollo de Am\u00e9rica Latina (CAF), enfocado en combatir el crimen organizado y recuperar el tejido social en la regi\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante la firma de un Memorando de Entendimiento entre las tres instituciones multilaterales, Ilan Goldfajn, presidente del BID, destac\u00f3 la importancia simb\u00f3lica de este acuerdo y subray\u00f3 las m\u00faltiples \u00e1reas de colaboraci\u00f3n que se implementar\u00e1n, incluyendo la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento sobre la problem\u00e1tica, la cooperaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica, la estandarizaci\u00f3n de datos y la movilizaci\u00f3n de recursos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El memor\u00e1ndum se firm\u00f3 en el marco de la Cumbre Latinoamericana de Seguridad que se desarrolla este lunes 19 y martes 20 de agosto en un hotel del norte de Guayaquil.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la cumbre de ministros de Estado de Am\u00e9rica Latina, inaugurada por el presidente de la Rep\u00fablica, Daniel Noboa, tambi\u00e9n se lanz\u00f3 la Alianza de Seguridad y Justicia para el Desarrollo de la regi\u00f3n, que se espera conformar en los pr\u00f3ximos meses, hasta diciembre pr\u00f3ximo.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goldfajn dijo que con la implementaci\u00f3n de la Alianza se busca un enfoque regional a modo de plataforma para abordar los problemas e implementar iniciativas de forma local.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adem\u00e1s, enfatiz\u00f3 la necesidad de dirigir los recursos financieros hacia iniciativas legales y efectivas, mientras se corta el flujo -\u201del ox\u00edgeno\u201d \u2013 de recursos que alimentan la criminalidad.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El programa de seguridad en Ecuador, que ser\u00e1 financiado con este nuevo enfoque, contempla tres dimensiones clave, seg\u00fan el presidente del BID: Limitar la influencia del crimen en las poblaciones m\u00e1s vulnerables, fortalecer las instituciones del Estado y cortar el flujo financiero il\u00edcito.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El financiamiento de USD 150 millones se espera que sea aprobado por el directorio del BID en las pr\u00f3ximas semanas.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Fuente: <a
